Terms of Service
These terms cover the use of this website and the website design, build and management service offered by S&J Digital (“S&J,” “we,” “us”). A signed service agreement with a client controls if anything here conflicts with it.
The service
The standard package is a custom, conversion-focused one-page website for a local service business, built from information and assets the client supplies, plus ongoing hosting and management. Work outside that scope — additional pages, ecommerce, custom applications, advanced integrations, ongoing advertising or SEO campaigns — is quoted separately.
Pricing and billing
- $500 one-time setup fee, due before final customization and launch.
- $100 per month, beginning at launch, for hosting, technical maintenance, security and uptime monitoring, form checks, ongoing support and minor content updates.
- The monthly plan continues month to month while we host and manage the website. Either side may end it with notice as described below.
- Setup fees are earned when the work is performed and are not refundable once the build has started.
What “minor updates” means
Minor updates are small text, photo, service and contact-detail changes — up to approximately 30 minutes of work per month, which does not roll over. New sections, redesigns, additional pages and integrations are quoted separately.
Revisions and timeline
The build includes two consolidated revision rounds before launch. Feedback should be sent within the review window we agree on. First drafts are typically ready within three business days of receiving the required information and assets, and most sites launch within five to seven business days depending on feedback and domain access. Delays in receiving content, feedback or domain access move the timeline.
Client responsibilities
The client provides accurate business information, service descriptions, photos, reviews and licensing or insurance details, and confirms that it has the right to use everything it supplies. We do not fabricate reviews, credentials or project photos, and we do not present stock imagery as a client’s completed work.
Ownership
- The client owns its domain, business content, logos and supplied assets.
- S&J licenses the website build to the client for use while the monthly plan is active.
- A code or platform transfer can be offered through a separately priced buyout where technically possible.
Cancellation
Either side may end the monthly plan with written notice. Hosting, maintenance and support continue through the end of the paid billing period, after which the website is taken offline unless a transfer has been arranged. Domain ownership stays with the client. [Set your notice period, for example 15 or 30 days.]
What we do not guarantee
We do not guarantee search rankings, traffic volume, lead volume or revenue. No honest provider can. We build the site to improve credibility and conversion; results also depend on demand, competition, pricing and how the business follows up on inquiries.
Third-party services
Hosting, domain registration, email delivery and payment processing are provided by third parties and are subject to their own terms and availability. We are not responsible for outages or changes outside our control, though we will work in good faith to resolve them.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, S&J’s total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount the client paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits or lost business.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [your state], and any dispute will be handled in the courts of [your county and state].
